Stephanie Hodge, D.B.A, SPHR
Dr. Stephanie Hodge is a strategic HR professional with over 25 years of experience delivering comprehensive human resources solutions across diverse industries and organizational sizes. As the Founder, CEO, and Principal Consultant of Essex Consulting, LLC since 2016, she has successfully built and managed a thriving HR and business consulting practice, providing strategic leadership, talent management, and organizational development services to small and mid-sized companies. Her entrepreneurial expertise extends beyond consulting to include full business operations management, from accounting and payroll to business development and marketing strategy.
Her distinguished corporate career spans leadership roles at prominent organizations, including serving as Chief HR Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, where she successfully transitioned the organization’s retirement plans while saving over $100,000 through strategic benefits analysis and implementation. At PRGX, Inc., a global audit recovery leader, she advanced from Strategic Planning & Acquisition Integration Assistant to Director of Human Resources, overseeing HR functions for the U.S., Canada, and Latin America operations representing 40% of the firm’s workforce. Her innovative employee retention strategies consistently reduced voluntary turnover by 5% for two consecutive years while managing complex international assignments and organizational integrations.
Her impressive educational credentials include a D.B.A. in Business Administration with HR Management specialization from Capella University, along with M.S. and B.S. degrees, both achieved with perfect 4.0 GPAs.
