Essex Consulting, LLC is an Atlanta based, minority owned HR and business consulting firm, that provides human resources consulting and project work by utilizing senior level business and HR expertise, and talented HR professionals to resolve business challenges.

Stephanie Hodge, D.B.A, SPHR

Dr. Stephanie Hodge is CEO and Principal Consultant for Essex Consulting, LLC; a certified woman owned-small business, providing human resource and business consulting for small and mid-sized companies. She has over 24 years of global HR experience leading teams in North America, Canada, and South America, in the financial services, software/technology, and non-profit industries.

Stephanie is known as a transformational leader with experience facilitating change and growth through compensation management, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and strategic HR management. Under her leadership, as Chief HR Officer, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta was the proud recipient of the “2016’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” award.

Dr. Hodge has experience conducting compensation analysis, developing competitive salary structures, and long and short-term incentive plans for leadership and C-Suite. Her compensation work spans both for-profit and nonprofit industries.

Stephanie’s philosophy is to help businesses develop and execute strategies that achieve organizational success, through the development of their people. Stephanie enjoys aligning people strategies that support business goals, adding a personal touch, by utilizing her HR expertise to resolve business challenges.

Dr. Hodge is a certified senior professional in human resources (SPHR), and is certified for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace through the University of South Florida. She is a faculty member for Georgia Center for Nonprofits: Nonprofit University and is a guest lecturer at Georgia State University. She is a member of the Greater Women’s Business Council, the Atlanta Black Chambers, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, and the Georgia Chamber. She is an active member of the National Associate of African Americans in HR and the Society for HR Management (SHRM) Atlanta and National Chapters. Stephanie was recently featured on Business RadioX and profiled in VoyageATL.

Stephanie serves as an advisory board member for Giving Health, a nonprofit organization committed to providing no cost telehealth solutions to individuals who lack access to affordable, quality healthcare. She also serves as the HR Committee Chair for the Sierra Club, Atlanta Chapter. Dr. Hodge is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
